The multi-board family
Every game here starts from the same idea: one hidden five-letter word per board, one keyboard, and every guess you type lands on every board still in play at once. What changes is how many boards you are solving at the same time.
We run sizes from three boards up to sixty four. Guesses scale with boards: you always get five more guesses than the number of boards, which is enough for a short opening phase plus one clean guess per board if you play well.
| Boards | Guesses | Good for |
|---|---|---|
| 3 | 8 | trying multi-board play for the first time |
| 4 | 9 | a quick step up from one word |
| 6 | 11 | a real plan, still a short session |
| 7 | 12 | one more board than six, barely more room |
| 8 | 13 | a well known size, on our own words |
| 10 | 15 | reading the grid in sections |
| 12 | 17 | proper bookkeeping across the boards |
| 16 | 21 | a long session played in passes |
| 32 | 37 | the extreme version, twenty minutes or more |
| 64 | 69 | the largest size we run |
How to play any size
- Type a five-letter word and press Enter. It is checked against every board still in play.
- Each board colors that guess on its own: green for the right spot, yellow for the wrong
spot, gray for not in the word.
- A board is solved the moment one of your guesses matches its word. The puzzle ends when
every board is solved or you run out of guesses.
The rules never change between sizes. Only the number of boards, and the guesses you get to clear them, go up.
Choosing a size
New to multi-board games? Start at 3 or 4. You will learn the core skill, letting one guess do work on several boards, without a long session.
Played a few rounds already? 6, 7 or 8 give you more to track without needing a plan written down.
Comfortable managing ten or more rows? 10 and 12 reward players who scan efficiently and remember what each board still allows.
Want the long game? 16, 32 and 64 are sessions, not quick breaks. Set aside real time before you start one.
A plan that works at any size
Open wide. Spend your first few guesses on words that share no letters with each other. That tests more of the alphabet before you commit to solving anything.
Solve what is already close. After your openers, some boards will only fit one or two words. Clear those first: fewer boards left means less to track.
Reuse every guess. A guess you make to solve one board still colors every other board in play. Choose between two possible answers by picking the one that helps more boards.
Save a guess or two for the end. The last boards standing are usually the ones with double letters or an uncommon word. Do not reach them on your last guess.
Daily and unlimited, on every size
Each size has its own Daily puzzle: the same set of words for everyone today, and it counts toward your all-games streak. Unlimited deals a fresh set of words for that size whenever you want one, with no effect on your streak.
Your share result shows guesses used and boards solved for whichever size you played, without a single letter in it, so it is always safe to send.
