TTile Streak

Who we are

Tile Streak (tilestreak.com) is operated by Novelaffiliates. Contact: hello@tilestreak.com.

The short version

  • You can play every game without an account and without telling us who you are.
  • Your stats, streaks and settings are stored in your browser, not on our servers. The

words you guess are never sent to us.

  • If you say yes to analytics, we also receive counts about use: the pages viewed and, when

you finish a game or press Share, which game it was, whether you won and how many guesses it took.

  • We show ads through Google AdSense and measure visits with Google Analytics. Neither loads

until you answer the banner. Choose Essential only and analytics stays off and ads are not personalized.

  • You can change your choices at any time from Privacy choices in the footer.

Information stored on your device

We use your browser's local storage to keep your game progress, statistics, streaks and settings (such as hard mode and high-contrast colors). This data stays on your device. We cannot see it, and clearing your browser's site data deletes it.

What happens when you play

Your guesses, your results, your streak and your settings are written to your browser's local storage and stay there. We have no account system, no game server and no database of players, so there is nothing for us to look up. The words you guess are never sent to us.

If you have said yes to analytics, the page also sends Google Analytics a small event when you finish a game and when you press Share: which game it was, the language, whether you won or lost and how many guesses it took. The event is tied to a random identifier in Google's cookie, not to a name or an email address, because we never ask for either.

If that changes, this page changes first, and the banner will ask before anything new is collected.

Server and security logs

Like most websites, our hosting and our network provider, Cloudflare, process technical data such as IP addresses and browser type to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse. This data is used for security and reliability, not for advertising.

Advertising

Tile Streak is free because it shows ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to show ads, limit how often you see the same ad, and measure ad performance. With your consent where required, ads may be personalized based on your visits to this and other sites.

  • Choose Essential only and you still see ads, but they are not personalized.
  • Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are asked for

consent through a consent message before personalized advertising cookies are used.

  • You can learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services at

policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and manage ad personalization at adssettings.google.com.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how many people visit, which pages they use, how they found us and how many games get finished. It loads only after you say yes to "How the site is used" in the banner. Until then nothing is requested from Google and no analytics cookie is set.

  • It sets cookies named _ga and _ga_ followed by an identifier.
  • It records page views, a game-finished event and a share event, with the details above.

It does not receive the words you guessed, your name or your email.

  • Google may use your IP address to work out roughly where you are. That processing is

covered by Google's policy.

  • If you later choose no from Privacy choices, the tag is switched off and those cookies

are removed from this site.

  • It is never loaded on the kids page, whatever you choose.

Children

Tile Streak is a general audience site. Our kids game is designed for children and the page is marked as child-directed: ads there are requested as non-personalized, no analytics is loaded, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information, to object to or restrict its use, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for targeted advertising. Because we do not hold accounts, most of your game data is already under your control in your browser. For anything else, email hello@tilestreak.com with the subject Privacy request.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date below. Material changes will be shown on the site before they take effect.
